The Archaeological Museum has the pleasure of inviting you to join a tour of our brand new exhibitions at the Archaeological Museum together with our guide Wednesday, August 12th, 2 pm.
Join our VIP tour with a guide in the new Viking Age exhibition, prior to the official opening on 15 August!
Central to the exhibition is the connection Rogaland has to Ireland. Here you can see over thousand-year-old objects from the Vikings' travels both east and west, including the borrowed gold find from Soma. Experience the size of a local Viking ship through a single real wooden plank, and get to know different female characters and a chief from Ryfylke through their grave finds. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the entire tour. Towards the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to experience the brand new exhibition "Sun cult, myths and mystery - the Bronze Age woman's value.
At Café Ask & Embla we treat wonderful organic coffee or tea. Are you a little hungry? Then you can treat yourself to a tasty snack in our museum café.
