Ulfhednar Winter Bolt is held Saturday the 25th of February 2023 in a military shooting range nearby the city of Elverum. 11 varied stages, aprox 100 rounds and hopefully in rough (but nice) winter conditions. This competition will measure many of your basic shooting skills, the precision and the long range capabilities of you and your equipment in Norwegian winter. Ranges from 100 - 780+ meters. Stage descriptions will be presented at the stages. Walking between the ranges is mostly on road, maximum 5 km.
Together with our sponsors we have assembled a very nice prize table!! Prizes and awards will be presented during the complimentary banquet and prize ceremony directly after the competition.
Ulfhednar Winter Bolt is a bolt rifle only contest! Maximum caliber is .30 up to 950 m/s (magnum is not allowed). We follow general rules for sport shooting in relation to how we act in and outside the competition, before, during, after and between stages.
For shooters with rifles weighing less than 5,5 kg we recommend to sign in the "Hunter" class. Are you the age of 21 or less during the time of the match you shall register in the "Youth"-category and get a solid discount on the entry fee. The rest use "Shooter" class. All classes compete for the same prizes, but we will give some extra attention to the best Hunter, best Youth and best Lady.

The organizers of the match is NLHU (Norsk Langholdsunion). Match crew will take part in the raffle of the prizes. Some will also take part in the match by shooting a pre-match the day before.
Accomodation:
There is plenty of accomodation in Elverum and sorounding area. We recomend Myklegard Kro and Motel, where also the banquet and prize ceremony will be held Saturday night. Important notice:
This is a binding registration and no refund is possible if you have to withdraw from the competition. But we do appreciate a early notice if you know you're space will be unused. We can then offer it to someone on our waiting list. Selling a registered space will not be accepted! If the competition by any reasons get canceled you will have your entrance fee back.
