Hardanger Handbak Klubb and Norges Bryteforbund invite to Hardanger Open 2023!
The event is one of the qualifications for East vs West arranged by Mr Engin Terzi.

Weight classes:
Each athlete can take part in their weight class + the closest weight class above. You can take part in all the categories you qualify for. First left hand and then right hand. We run all the classes directly without saving the finale.
Sub-junior (13, 14 or 15 years in 2023), boys: -70, +70 kg

Medals for the three best in each weight class.
Information for final qualification to East vs West in Istanbul:
-first and second place on senior women's right arm -65 kg.
-first place on senior women's right arm -75 and +75 kg.
-first place on senior men's right arm -75, -80, -85, -90, -100 and -110 kg.
-first and second place on senior men's right arm +110 kg.
will be guaranteed to be invited for the final qualification for East vs West SuperMatch event in Istanbul.
Left hand in the same classes may be invited.
Entry fee:
NOK 250 pr. arm pr. category. Half price for the second category or extra class. Fill in and prepay under.
After the 5th of March, the entry fee will be doubled.
The final entry is 17th of March at 20:00.
If you do not show up at weight-in, the entry fee will be refunded to you.

Where is Lofthus and how to get there?
Lofthus is located in the west of Norway.
The closest airport is Bergen lufthavn (BGO).
Tickets by train can be bought here. The closest train station is Voss.
The host will arrange transport to the hotel from Bergen airport, the Voss train station, and back. Contact the host if you have any
questions about transport from the airport or train station, and to get information when the transport from the airport and train station goes.
Clothing/dress code:
Sportswear. Not jeans or shorts.
Rules & WADA-code:
World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) rules.
The host, Hardanger Handbak Klubb and Norges Bryteforbund, are following the World Anti-Doping Code. Everybody who takes part has to follow WADA code.
License:
All Norwegian athletes must be a member of the Norges Bryteforbund.
The athletes must have a license from the Norwegian Wrestling Federation before the start of the event. Contact your local club for more information.
All foreign athletes (WAF members) must be members of their national armwrestling federation and bring a statement confirming the membership.
Referee fee (Norwegian clubs only):
Every participating club must pay a referee fee to the host (1 participant = 0 NOK, 2-5 participants = 800 NOK, five and more = 1000 NOK)

SuperMatches and tournaments will be commentated by Aussie Armwrestler.
